If you are trying to build muscles, remember that carbohydrates are important! Your body needs carbs to survive the grueling workouts to which you are subjecting it. Also, if you don’t eat sufficient carbohydrates, your body will use protein as an alternative energy source. Get enough carbs that your body needs for functioning, and you can have the fuel you need to get through your exercise.

Creatine is a very popular supplement with muscle builders, but you need to use it with caution, especially if you are taking it for an extended time period. If you are attempting to increase muscle mass, the majority of your efforts should be spent on strength-training exercises, not cardio.

Do not exceed 60 minutes, when working out. Your body starts producing excess cortisol, the stress hormone, after 60 minutes of a workout session. If you keep your workouts under sixty minutes, you will reap the rewards of your efforts faster and enjoy the benefits of your hard work.
