Do not work out for more than an hour. After an hour of working out, the body will produce cortisol at an increased rate. Cortisol may block testosterone, which hurts all your efforts that you have been putting in towards achieving more muscle mass. Keeping your workouts under an hour should provide optimal results.

Make sure to mix things up in your exercise routines. As you get into any workout routine, it can become boring and that will dissuade you from doing it. Switch up your workout to include different exercises, and work different muscle groups every time you go to the gym. If you change your routines every so often, you will remain interested and motivated longer.
